The Howler Monkeys are not the only monkey species in the area, there are also 7 other species. As bird lovers you will not be short of anything, there are many different bird species, for example the White Bellbird and the Guyane Pepper Eater, not to mention the Capuchonbird, the Ornamental Tangare, the Marailshakohoen, the Red-throated Antbird and many more.
The park is 12,200 ha in size, several houses and camps have been built on the top of the mountain. From the top you can walk on the trails to various waterfalls, for example the Irene fall and the Leo fall, Mazaroni fall, Kumbu fall and the white creek where you can swim. The area is supervised by the Suriname Nature Conservation Foundation.
